Mark and Maggie tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony hosted by Acadian Village, Lafayette’s oldest authentic vision of life in 19th century Southwest Louisiana. The locale provided the backdrop for a wedding punctuated with seasonal flowers and unique Acadian architecture. The bride used the circa 1800 Bernard house to prepare for her nuptials. The ceremony itself was held in the New Hope Chapel which was classically decorated with the original 150 year old pews and lightly adorned with pink roses and white lanterns. Chalkboard signs pointed the way to the festivities, with a pair of blue vintage french doors and romantic lighting leading the way. Upon entering the reception, guests were greeted with vintage windows featuring pictures of the couple. While guests sat and enjoyed authentic cajun cuisine surrounded by vintage tea sets and crystal accents, the new couple were nestled at their reserved sweetheart table, set with custom dinner ware. An antique peach settee with a rustic mint mini farm table, covered with lace and decorated with flowers. The romantic vintage vibe of the festivities was captured on a gorgeous clear night in Louisiana.
